I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend....mine was more like Indulgence weekend rather than Independence weekend, but it was beyond great to see some wonderful camp croonies and my "brother" and his wife. I love them so much and don't get to see them nearly enough. The weekend went as follows:
Rocking out with Spivey and Christine on I-10 to old college mixes
oh and this really yummy wrap:
Quick Serve BBQ (indulgence #1)
Beers and Apples....to Apples, that is! (indulgences number 2-5)
McDonalds Bfast (indulgence #ugh)
Beerpong at the beach...yes, we had an inflatable beer pong table!
Grilling out, burgers are good for you bacon cheeseburgers, well chalk that up to indulgence #74?
Fireworks!
Crashed out "party people" in front of trashy MTV, yet another indulgence, even if that one isn't edible!
Morning run around the neighborhood! This was a great first for me, to run while away from home, it was hot, sweaty and wonderful!
Long-ass boring drive back on I-10, bletch!
Free Moe's! Patrick, you rock! (but that Queso was the final indulgence of the weekend!).

And that brought us back to Monday, another yetch day at work, which included an exciting but stressful phone call...which will lead up to my big announcement, but I'm going to make you read more crap about me first!
So, needless to say, I needed, I mean NEEDED some yoga time last night, so I decided to stay after my usual Hatha refinement class, for the inversion class. Holy Crap it was amazing! My shoulders, upper back and arms can testify to it today. But I did my first baby chatarunga, and it was pretty amazing. Also, we did these awesome downdog to handstand to standing splits against the wall that had me shaking with bliss. Yeah, I want to see Jillian Michaels do an upside down spilt on the wall. Yeah, that's what I thought! :D
For eats...well it's amazing what yummyness kitchen lacking in fresh produce can still whip up. Here is another one of my go to meals:
Apple Chicken Sausage with crout, pear relish and onion plus a cut up nectarine and pickled okra and a "garbage salad" consisting of dying romaine lettuce, tomato, onion, katamala olives topped with the end of my dill pickle cashews and a drizzle of honey mustard. Weird, but tasty.
And now.....the phone call I received yesterday was from the Director of HR with the Gilchrist County School Board office, calling to offer me a science teaching position at Trenton High School! I nearly screamed yes! So, I turned in my letter of resignation today to my current job and can't wait for the end of the month when my year of tourer will be over! YES. I'm really excited, and nervous to teach HS Bio and Integrated Science to 9-11th grades, but am totally up for the challenge.
And also more than open to suggestions....are you a teacher with great "tips of the trade?" Or what did you enjoy about your science courses in high school or college? It's going to be a wild ride, and I'm sure you guys will be hearing all about it, right here! The current adventure is finding a place to live! I hate moving, but I love looking for rentals! Yay.
Now, I must scramble to bed, because this last month at work is jam packed trying to finish up my projects and train a few people to take over my job...funny how it takes more than one person to take over what I was doing on my own....hummm. ;)
Love to all,
~A bursting with ideas, Jess
